Dylan Pereira started the race from the pole position and was able to defend his lead throughout the race. It was the second pole and second win for the Luxembourgish racer this season, after which he takes over as general leader. It was also the fifth time that Pereira won a race at the Spielberg track in Austria.
His team colleague Harry King was less fortunate during the start and fell back from second to fifth position after the first lap. Larry ten Voorde, former general leader, exited the race without any points.
