Preparations are at full swing as 100 students install 1,500 solar panels on the roof of Kirchberg's European School.

The project, which lasts until 29 June, teaches students about solar technology.

Electricity for 100 homes can be produced this way, as each panel is capable of generating 500 Kilowatts. 10 students work in shifts to install and connect the panels.

The aim of the students is to inspire other schools around the country to do the same.

Greenpeace is involved in coordinating the project. They have already completed four solar projects with municipalities and youth houses.
