Previously considered one of the least aesthetic and welcoming car parks, the Fort Neipperg car park has been completely reinvented ahead of its reopening. Mayor Lydie Polfer described the new car park as "the most beautiful and most modern of all our [Luxembourg City's] car parks." The car park has had an intense face lift and will reopen its doors in weeks, namely on 4 November.

The renovation on the 1983 car park was considered necessary, to make the car park more welcoming and secure. Costing €21 million, the renovation includes a new outward facade, new technical installations, and new signage. Specifically, the Neipperg car park will be the first in Luxembourg to be equipped with a dynamic guidance system inside the building. Signs will show the number of free parking spots on per floor and each spot will be equipped with a red or green light to signal availability.

The car park is spread over 19 half-floors, 13 of which are above ground and six underground. The total amount of parking spaces is 677, with 147 of those consisting of larger spaces of 2.5 metres.

There will be 20 spaces for electric vehicles, as well as 15 reserved for women (located near entrance and exit points), and 17 disabled spots with a width of more than 3.5 metres. Finally, the car park will also have bike storage.

However, one thing remains incomplete. The brasserie planned for the ground floor is not yet open as the City of Luxembourg is still looking for a fitting and appropriate operator.
