Luxembourg may be small in size but its culinary scene can compete in the big leagues.

All the fellow foodies out there will be pleased to learn that the Grand Duchy is participating at the Expo 2020 Dubai, proving its excellence of its cuisine to the world.

The EXPO 2020 DUBAI takes place from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The restaurant representing Luxembourg at the expo was fittingly called "Schengen Lounge" and occupies a privileged position on the ground floor of the pavilion. The organisers said the kitchen would be transparent in order to allow visitors and customers to peek inside and watch the chefs at work.

The cuisine will be all about Luxembourg's cultural diversity. In other words: there won't be only traditional dishes but also a good pinch of international influences. "Luxembourg on a plate" will come in handy for those in a hurry - the selection of snacks to take away should have something for every palate.

The gastronomy section of Luxembourg's participation was jointly brought to life by representatives of the Horesca, Eurotoques, the Vatel Club, the Lycée technique de Bonnevoie, the Institut viti-vinicole and the Ecole d’Hôtellerie et de Tourisme du Luxembourg (EHTL).
