The National Employment Agency (ADEM) has published a list of professions urgently requiring candidates in Luxembourg, as employers struggle to fill roles. 20 sought-after professions have experienced shortages in applications over the last trimester. Potential employers could benefit from simplified procedures in order to hire people, including workers from third countries.

Among the professions urgently seeking applicants are:

  • Financial risk analysis managers
  • Economists
  • Roofers
  • Engineers in research and in industry
  • Vehicle technicians
  • Nurses
  • Nursing assistants
  • Educators
  • Industrial mechanics

The full list can be found on the ADEM website.

The list of shortages also allows for targeted training to be offered and skills to be adapted to market needs.
