Details of next week's Braderie were presented at a press conference on Wednesday morning by the City Business Association (UCVL) together with Luxembourg City.
Shoppers will not have to wait until Monday to find bargains, however, as Braderie offers will already be available in the city from Saturday. A large flea market will also take place on Avenue de la Gare on Sunday.
The full Braderie area will only be closed to traffic on Monday, the main day of the event. Organisers expect around 150,000 visitors for this year's 97th edition.
For the first time, the Braderie will not take place on the traditional Monday during the Schueberfouer, which fell on 31 August this year. Organisers said holding the Braderie in August would not have been ideal, as many people are still away on holiday.
