Luxembourg City officials issued a warning on Friday, advising those spending time in the city’s parks and forests to be particularly vigilant as the drought increases the risk of falling branches. The public is urged not to linger beneath trees and to remain on marked paths at all times. If a branch is seen falling, people should immediately leave the area for their own safety.

Authorities also remind the public that it is strictly forbidden to discard cigarette butts or any other flammable items in nature, as this could trigger fires. In addition, residents are asked to reduce their water consumption while the drought persists.
