Harassing police officersMan gropes police officer and grabs second officer's neck in Vianden

RTL Today
Two police officers were harassed by a man on Grand-Rue in Vianden on Sunday evening, where the traditional Ness Maart (nut market) had taken place during the day.

As the police wrote in their bulletin, the individual made a grab at one of the police officers. The officers stopped the man, taking him to task and asked to see proof of his identity. He refused to show his identity card and attempted to push past the officers.

As the officers insisted he show his proof of identity, the man then grabbed one of the police officers by the neck from behind and threw him onto the ground. A scuffle ensued with the man and surrounding individuals.

Once the situation was under control, it was determined that the initial attacker was under the influence of alcohol.

The officers took the man to the police station, where he spent the night under arrest.
