Digitalisation in Luxembourg was not only a part of the electoral program, but also a European directive, which has quickly taken root in the Grand Duchy. The new platform "Luxembourg Digital Innovation Hub", inaugurated in Esch-sur-Alzette, will be managed by Luxinnovation and will facilitate the digital transition of companies.

Over the past decade, Luxembourg has strengthened its position as a European hub for the fund industry. But if the Grand Duchy wants to remain at the forefront of an industry worth 4,000 billion euros, it must adapt to new requirements in all sectors.

Étienne Schneider said the objective was to have a central location to help larger companies with their digital transformations. As part of Industry 4.0, there are an existing series of structures that help small and medium-sized businesses to digitise, but Schneider said it was important to add these structures for bigger companies, too.

The management of this platform has been entrusted to Marina Guérin-Jabbour, who has already launched two such innovation centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
