Employees at Passerell provide legal advice to five to ten refugees demanding asylum on a daily basis.
Project leader Ambre Schulz explained that since the organisation was founded in 2016, Passerell’s range of services has continuously grown. Aside from treating complex legal cases, the organisation also offers trainings and has published a book entitled Rehumanisez-moi (Re-humanise me).
However, the pandemic has brought about stark financial issues for Passerell, which is now forced to let go four of its employees. Nevertheless, the organisation does not intend to give up just yet and hopes that funding can still be secured before it is too late, admitted Schulz.
