
Over the next three years, the new Youth Pact should provide thought-provoking impulses to improve the well-being of young people. During the presentation in Belval on Monday evening, officials stressed that schools will play an important role in this process.
Claire Fidel from the the Psycho-Social and School Support Centre (CePAS) explained that multi-disciplinary teams will be tasked with monitoring the support on the ground. Minister of Education Claude Meisch drew attention to the need for increasing this kind of support for youths from low-income families.
The politician from the Democratic Party also noted that the destigmatisation of mental health issues has to continue so that we can create an environment of trust where young people are not afraid to share their problems and fears.
