The Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation (OGBL) has designated 1 July 2022 as a special action day to protest what it perceives as unjustified manipulation of the index by the government.
A new wage indexation could be triggered on 1 July, however, this has yet to be confirmed. But even if it were triggered, it would be postponed in accordance with the tripartite measures.
In protest, the OGBL has planned several demonstrations across the country, for instance in front of major businesses, the state canteen, or the Ministry of State, where the trade union will also hold a press briefing.
The OGBL continues to demand that all wage indexations should be paid out as normal.
