The safety campaign focused on speed, rider equipment, motorbike condition, and the validity of documents. In one month, the police issued 233 fines for these various traffic offences.

Most fines were issued for speeding: 91 motorcyclists were fined for violating speed limits or reckless driving.

The officers also caught 23 drivers who were not wearing approved helmets. 23 also corresponds to the number of people who were unable to provide valid documents when they were pulled over.

For 22 of them, the motorbike’s exhaust system did not comply with current standards. Finally, there were ten people who had faulty lights and five who should have changed their tyres before setting off.
