Temperatures remained high on Sunday, so many people once again came to enjoy a day on the Stauséi beaches. In this context, the police launched a new appeal to the public concerning growing crowds at the country’s most popular swimming spot.
Diekirch police stated that traffic jams had accumulated around the lake and suggested that people wishing to reach the lake should use the shuttle buses organised for this purpose.
Several incidents forced the authorities to dispatch patrols to the site on Saturday afternoon. In addition, a lot of rubbish was left on the beaches of the lake.
