On 3 August 1986, Prince Louis was born as the third child of the Grand Ducal couple at the Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital.

Prince Louis has two sons from his previous marriage to Tessy Antony: Prince Gabriel Michael Louis Ronny, born on 12 March 2006 in Geneva, and Prince Noah Etienne Guillaume Gabriel Matthias Xavier, born on 21 September 2007.

Prince Louis has been a holder of the Order of the Gold Lion of the House of Nassau since 2004. Between 2017 and 2019, he worked as a consultant at Laurent Meeschaert Conseil, before going independent and beginning to advise people with dyslexia. In parallel, he set up his own firm, SIBE Mediation, in Paris in the summer of 2020, together with three associates.

Prince Louis is also involved in humanitarian work and completed a one-year placement with the Red Cross in Geneva, where he looked after groups of children and accompanied older people.

In his free time, Prince Louis skis and snowboards and is a keen climber. Table tennis, martial arts, fencing, horse riding, diving and hunting are also among his passions. He is also an avid pilot.
