Before the court heard from the second defendant, another man was called to the stand. He had contacted a woman in connection to the case and made allusions to the incident at hand. In court, he denied knowing anything to do with the murders. Whilst another witness on Tuesday claimed he sent her messages during her testimony on Tuesday, the man then denied this.

He did however confirm that he had spent a few months in custody alongside the main defendant last year, and that the defendant had continued to maintain there were two individuals involved. Additionally, the defendant told the man he had not been the one to pull the trigger.

During Wednesday's session, the second defendant continued to maintain he had not pulled the trigger and did not know that his accomplice planned to kill. He told the court he was driving that evening and, when they were near Rodange, all of a sudden he heard a shot. He saw the drug dealer in the passenger seat collapse, and blood was everywhere. The man told the court he had not heard the other defendant load a weapon. This revealed a crucial detail, suggesting a loaded weapon had already been in the car and changing the charge to murder rather than manslaughter, which would mean a more severe sentence.

The second defendant admitted to having made a mistake in not going to the police straight away, which he failed to do out of fear of the main defendant. Once the drug dealer had been shot, the other defendant gave him clear directions on where to drive. The second defendant maintained that they had not been friends, but that the other man was his boss.

The trial continues on Thursday.
