A car and a motorcycle collided on Route de Luxembourg near Filsdorf around 6.30pm. The biker attempted to pass a line of cars on the left, but one of the cars wanted to make a left turn toward Hassel. When the car and the motorcycle collided, the biker was knocked to the ground. He was so badly injured that the rescue helicopter was called in to airlift him to the hospital.
Three motorcyclists crashed on the CR134 near Gostingen around an hour and a half before this incident. The road had to be briefly closed to traffic to retrieve the motorcycles from a nearby field. According to preliminary information, none of the motorcyclists were injured.
