
The Bridges and Roads Authority and the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) in collaboration with the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines (ITM) and the Luxembourg Police are organising a full-scale exercise in the Micheville tunnel on Sunday 12 June 2022 from 7am to 1pm.
The Bridges and Roads Authority stresses that these tests are “essential and mandatory in order to guarantee the safety of tunnel users in the event of an incident”.
On Sunday 12 June 2022, from 7am to 1pm, the following roadblock will be put in place:
Traffic coming from France will be diverted from the Belval-Gare interchange via the Esch-Belval plateau using the fixed “D1" signs to the Belval-University interchange towards the Raemerich roundabout.
The traffic coming from the Raemerich roundabout is diverted from the Belval-University interchange via the Esch-Belval plateau using the fixed “D2" signalling system until the Belval-Gare interchange in the direction of France.
As part of the work to redevelop the Sandweiler roundabout, the Sandweiler bypass (N2) will be closed to all traffic from Saturday 11 June 2022 at 6am to Monday 13 June 2022 at 6am.
Traffic will be diverted via the CR185.
As part of the development of the Gasperich bank, the Bridges and Roads Authority will close the A3 between the Gluck roundabout and the Hesperange interchange of the A3 motorway from Friday 10 June 2022 at around 9pm until Monday 13 June 2022 at around 5am.
The following roadblock is in place:
Traffic coming from the Gluck roundabout towards Croix de Gasperich is diverted via Boulevard de Kockelscheuer, the CR231 (Boulevard F.W. Raiffeisen) and the Hesperange interchange.
Traffic from the A3 motorway towards Luxembourg City is diverted from the Hesperange interchange via the CR231 (Boulevard F.W. Raiffeisen) and Boulevard de Kockelscheuer.
Due to the installation of the construction site, traffic disruptions are to be expected from 7pm.
