It was an unusual event this summer: on 14 August, Luxembourg woke up with one less speed camera. The N7 was temporarily no longer checked in both directions just before (or after) the town of Lipperscheid in the north of the country.
The police launched an appeal for witnesses in order to find out what had happened and to track down the perpetrators of this act of vandalism.
A temporary speed camera had also been installed a little further on towards Ettelbruck, and the mobile unit was still present on the N7 on Saturday morning.

But above all, this Saturday marked the return of the speed camera that had been sawed, bent, and lying on the ground for a few days on the motorway to the north of the country. For the time being, however, it is unclear whether the speed camera is already operational.
The speed limit is 90km/h in both directions on this section of the N7.
