The SNCI (National Society of Credit and Investment) - the institution that enables the state to invest in or grant loans to businesses - spent 60 million Euro in 2018, roughly three times more than the previous year.

SNCI representatives presented their report to the Chamber commission responsible on Monday morning. The main element of the balance sheet remains the stake in the companies concerned, representing a little over 380 million Euro.

A sum of 11 million Euro was granted to companies to purchase materials, and most of the budget was allocated to manufacturing businesses.

SNCI was the main talking point in 2018 after having sold their share in the company "Planetary Resources" with a loss of 12 million Euro.
