The other towns belonging to the municipality are not affected.
Residents of the town are advised to avoid drinking water directly from the tap, and to boil it for at least 10 minutes prior to consumption. It is also advised not to wash fruit or vegetables with tap water.
A statement from the municipality said the technical department were investigating the issue and they would advise residents as soon as the contamination has been eliminated.
