Officers arrested drug dealers in both Esch-sur-Alzette and the Central station area in Luxembourg City.
On 28 October, officers caught a suspected drug dealer in the act and later had him X-rayed upon the request of the public prosecutor's office. The X-ray revealed he had swallowed drugs and police later seized several pellets of cocaine and a significant amount of cash. The man was arrested and scheduled to see the investigating magistrate the next day.
The next day in the afternoon, a man began reacting oddly and agitated upon spotting police officers in the Luxembourg City train station area. After officers asked to see his ID, he failed to react and refused to talk, leading police to believe he had something in his mouth. Telling the man to open his mouth, the man again refused but looked to be swallowing. Once taken into custody, the police seized cash and two mobile phones and sent him for a scan, which revealed 16 pellets of cocaine. The man was arrested.
Hours later the police found yet another dealer in the same Central station area, as she had just sold cocaine to a customer. Police found another seven pellets of cocaine on her person, alongside cash and three mobile phones. After receiving a warrant to search her home, it transpired she had a further ten pellets of cocaine stashed there and a large amount of cash. The woman was arrested.
On 30 October, police searched a man on Avenue Pasteur in Esch-sur-Alzette, as he was acting nervously and aggressive towards officers. The man kept his mouth shut and made to swallow something, but was taken into custody by officers. The scan showed no foreign bodies, but police discovered he was not legally residing in Luxembourg, having had his permit expire in 2017. The police informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
That same evening, police made another arrest in the Central station neighbourhood. After checking different individuals, a man was found swallowing oddly and repeatedly. An X-ray revealed cocaine pellets inside his body. The man also had cash on his person.
Police officers caught two people dealing on the evening of 31 October. The police caught the buyer on Rue Glesener, which was where he had planned to take the drugs. They also successfully found the dealer and seized cash, mobile phones, and 13 cocaine pellets.
There were two further arrests not long after when police observed another deal. Police officers seized the cocaine purchased alongside other drugs, cash, and a phone.
On Monday police officers arrested two dealers caught in the act. Finally, another man was taken into custody in the Central station area after offering cocaine to a passer-by.
