Police recorded several burglaries across Luxembourg on Monday, drawing attention in their daily bulletin to two notable incidents.
In Bridel, one or more individuals gained entry to a home on Rue des Prés by accessing the terrace. According to initial information, two terrace doors were forced open and several rooms were searched. The intruders stole cash, bank cards, personal documents, and jewellery, among other valuables.
A separate incident occurred in Pétange, where two men posed as representatives of a charity organisation. They rang the doorbell of an elderly woman living on Rue d'Athus, who initially did not open the door. One of the men then entered the house through a slightly open terrace door and let his accomplice inside.
Inside the home, both men joined the resident in the living room before one of them searched the premises. They requested a donation from the woman and then stole money from her purse.
The suspects fled the scene before police arrived.
