As Europe’s largest event, Euroskills gathers the cream of the crop of young traders from all areas of expertise.

The 2027 event will be organised by both Luxembourg and Germany, as it expects around 150,000 visitors and 800 young professionals in Düsseldorf alone. Some innovative projects will be presented before the event in Luxembourg and co-organised with Germany.

After WorldSkills Germany and WorldSkills Luxembourg submitted a joint application, the member countries of the confederation unanimously voted in favour of the joint project between Germany and Luxembourg.

Euroskills’ Head of Mission Luc Belling shares his excitement after the joint project submission had been welcomed with such a degree of enthusiasm. He now looks forward to the real preparations of the event which will last three days.

Véronique Schaber, Head of Vocational Training in Luxembourg, also shows enthusiasm for the unique experience Luxembourg has been offered. To her, it is a golden opportunity to showcase all the positive aspects of vocational training and to present it as a conscious decision, not a Plan B.

It is important for vocational training to publicise itself in this way, especially with many motivated young talents from all over Europe.

Euroskills has been taking place every two years since 2008; the last were organised in Graz, Austria in September 2021. Luxembourg had done particularly well in the Entrepreneurship Business Development Challenge, in which it won a bronze medal.
