
The number of jobseekers registered with ADEM was 13,946 as of 31 May 2022, down 19.6% compared to the same period last year.

The number of those looking for employment was down across all categories, except for those registered with ADEM for a period shorter than four months. This category recorded a 6% increase.

2,140 residents registered with ADEM in May this year, up 13.8% compared to the same month in 2021. The Agency underlined that this also includes 205 registrations of beneficiaries of temporary protection, meaning refugees from Ukraine.
With 2,148 people, the number of resident jobseekers on full unemployment benefits decreased 23.7% compared to May last year. The rate for people benefiting from individual measures, which was 4,531, only experienced a slight decrease compared to last year, down 0.7%.
ADEM added 4,812 new jobs to its registry last month, up 21.5% compared to last year. The number of available positions was 13,253, an all-time high for the Agency and up 49.5% compared to May 2021.
