Place de la ConstitutionYoung Farmers' Association brings farm life to the city for the weekend

A slightly different but certainly original idea for an open door: instead of inviting citizens to the farm, it is the farm itself that is coming to meet them in Luxembourg City this weekend.

‘Farm in the City’ is an initiative of the Young Farmers’ Association and will feature numerous stands of Luxembourgish producers on Saturday and Sunday. The whole event will take place on Place de la Constitution, around the Golden Lady monument.

A special children’s programme, workshops, a showcooking with Luxembourgish politicians and a whole range of information will be offered to visitors in order to make them aware of the profession of farming and to help them discover the good and the more difficult moments of their daily life.

Speaking to our colleagues from RTL Télé, Luc Emering, the president of the Young Farmers’ Association, stated that the idea behind ‘Farm in the City’ is to bring the agricultural sector closer to those who may otherwise only rarely get into contact with it.

You can meet Luxembourg’s farmers at “Farm in the City” this weekend and take the opportunity to talk to them and ask them all the questions you have in mind.
