
At around 11.30pm on Saturday evening, police received a report of a robbery at Echternach train station. Two men had been attacked by a group of assailants. The attackers took a mobile phone and a credit card from them. One of the victims sustained injuries to the face and neck during the robbery and had to be taken to hospital for a check-up. As part of the investigation, police were able to locate two suspects.
On Sunday evening, a person was attacked on Boulevard Kennedy in Esch-sur-Alzette. According to initial findings, victim and perpetrator knew each other. The suspect allegedly grabbed a bag from the young victim. When the young man tried to reclaim it, the perpetrator attacked him before running off with the bag and a cap. A cap found at the scene was seized.
Investigations have been opened in both cases.
Police also received reports of several burglaries. At around 1.30pm on Sunday afternoon, a block of flats on Route d'Arlon in the capital was broken into. Eleven cellars were ransacked. According to initial reports, alcohol and camera equipment were taken.
Another burglary was reported in Goesdorf. The thieves appear to have entered the house through a cellar door. A laptop, an e-bike, several games consoles and several mobile phones were stolen.
Investigations have also been opened in each of these cases.
