Smoke from a malfunctioning powerbank led to the temporary evacuation of a major Kirchberg bank building Thursday afternoon.
The BNP Paribas building in Kirchberg was temporarily evacuated on Thursday afternoon when a malfunctioning powerbank emitted smoke, triggering the building’s fire alarm system.
According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), emergency protocols were activated after smoke was detected. Approximately 300 people were safely evacuated as a precaution.
