Amnesty International Luxembourg held a demonstration on Thursday 24 March outside the Russian embassy in Luxembourg, to mark the passing of a month since Russian forces invaded Ukraine.
“Over the past month, amid the illegal invasion of Ukraine by Russia, thousands of lives have been destroyed, as well as housing, civilian infrastructure and the livelihoods of the civilian population in Ukraine. Russia is responsible for a major humanitarian crisis that has seen millions displaced and families torn apart,’ said Olivier Pirot, director of Amnesty International Luxembourg.
As part of a symbolic action, protesters called on Russia to immediately cease its human rights abuses.
