The animal licence is aimed at children, teaching them skills which can be used at home. The course focuses on household pets such as rabbits or guinea pigs, beloved by children, but often kept incorrectly.

Children will learn that rabbits need plenty of space to run around, hide and play. Cages are not ideal for these animals. Another lesson focuses on feeding - although rabbits are plant eaters, for example, they cannot consume all fruit and vegetables. They should not be fed avocados, for example.

At the end of the course, children will receive a proper "licence" which they can take home and show to others, confirming their new-found expertise in animal care.
