At around 11.20pm on Sunday night, the police received reports of a suspicious person that was spotted on the roof of a company in Dudelange. A witness explained that they had seen a person walking around with a ladder near the building.
When the police arrived on the scene, they found the ladder in question resting against a gate. Additional patrols were despatched to cordon off the area and its surroundings.
One of the officers used the ladder to climb onto the roof of the company, where they managed to apprehend and handcuff the reported suspect. The public prosecutor’s office was informed and ordered the suspect’s arrest.
The stolen items found on the roof were seized, as well as other items found in the suspect’s car. It turned out that the suspect was also subject to a driving ban and that his car was not insured. As a result, the car was also seized. The suspected burglar was brought before an examining magistrate on Monday.
