According to preliminary information, a driver provoked a frontal collision near the Esch/Sûre tunnel after driving on to the opposing lane.
It seems as though a first vehicle was still able to avoid the wrong-way driver, but a second one ended up crashing into the oncoming car. Although both drivers only suffered light injuries, one of the passengers was severely injured and had to be hospitalised.
