On 9 September, the late Norwegian King Harald V will be laid to rest in Oslo. Grand Duke Guillaume, together with his wife and his father Grand Duke Henri, will also travel to the Norwegian capital to pay their respects. The Grand Ducal Family will make the journey to Oslo next Wednesday.
On the day itself, the flags at the palace and at Berg Castle here in Luxembourg will also be flown at half-mast.
Many of Europe's royal houses, along with the Japanese Imperial Family, are expected at the large memorial ceremony at Oslo Cathedral. Politicians will also attend, among them German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
