
The cyclist fell down and was slightly injured. The bicycle and other personal belongings were damaged in the incident.
The driver of the car stopped their vehicle momentarily, only to then drive off without checking on the cyclist or the damage caused by the crash. Police are now looking for witnesses as well as for the guilty driver, who was sitting in a dark SUV with Luxembourgish number plates.

Police also reported an accident that occurred in Pétange at around 11 pm. A driver had lost control over their vehicle and crashed first into a street lamp and then into the wall of a local roundabout.
The injured driver later turned out to be heavily intoxicated, resulting in a driving ban being issued against them. The responsible authorities were contacted to repair the street lamp.
Another driver was caught speeding on the road from Capellen to Mamer at around midnight. After pulling over the car, police quickly discovered that the driver was inebriated and confiscated their driving licence on the spot. They were also fined for violating the curfew.
During a police check in Canach, a driver was pulled over because they were driving with their car lights off. The driver was intoxicated and when they were asked to hand over their driving licence. The police officers discovered that the document was no longer valid. In addition, the driver was fined for violating the curfew.
At around 5.30 pm on Friday, a man with serious face injuries approached a police patrol in Pfaffenthal. He told the police officers that he had been violently mugged just moments before by two men in an alleyway called Brandgässel. The culprits had beaten the man up and robbed his valuables. The officers immediately launched a search operation but were ultimately unable to find the culprits.
