The ‘Welcome Soccer’ match will take place at the Stade Emile Binter in the Gasperich neighbourhood of Luxembourg City.
Kick-off is expected around 10 a.m., and the match is intended as a friendly affair for children with adults also welcome to join in.
The Tricolore Gasperich football club is hosting the match and has promised to provide children with equipment and snacks.
The organisers are hoping to provide those fleeing the war with distractions from the conflict and a glimmer of normal life.
