Mail-GateFormer minister Marc Fischbach criticises Xavier Bettel's decision

Minister for Family Affairs Corinne Cahen's letter to the Commercial Union should be passed to the Ethics Committee.

Former Christian Social People's Party (CSV) minister and former member of the Ethics Committee, Marc Fischbach, said in an interview with RTL on Saturday morning that Prime Minister Xavier Bettel's decision not to involve the Ethics Committee in the matter was regrettable.

Fischbach said he hoped Bettel would rethink his decision after all opposition parties (CSV,  Alternative Democratic Reform Party/ADR, déi Lénk and the Pirate Party) had addressed a letter to the premier on Friday, in which they accused Corinne Cahen of a clear conflict of interest.

When asked about the further allegations that Cahen had in the past rented out a residence on Airbnb, Fischbach neglected to comment.
