LaLux welcomes a new president after 24 years, as François Pauly takes over from the long-serving Pit Hentgen at the helm of the Luxembourg insurance group.

After 24 years at the helm, Pit Hentgen will hand over the presidency of LaLux to François Pauly at the insurance group's general meeting on Friday. Founded in 1920, LaLux is one of Luxembourg's most established insurance groups.

Pauly is no stranger to the organisation, having served as president of the board of La Luxembourgeoise, the group's financial arm, for the past 14 years. His appointment at LaLux comes in the same week that he is also set to take over as the next President of the Board of Superintendence of the Istituto per le Opere di Religione (IOR), also known as the Vatican Bank.
