Last month's extraordinary temperatures can be explained by a weather pattern dominated by high pressure over Western and Central Europe. Atlantic depressions stayed well to the north, and the associated subsidence held back both cloud cover and rainfall. All of that combined to deliver sweltering sunshine at Findel Airport.
