Around 100 members participated in the congress, which was organised around the theme of ‘Protecting what is important to us.’
Party presidents Djuna Bernard and Meric Sehovic stressed the importance of solidarity at a time of different crises, from the war in Ukraine to the climate crisis, the pandemic and the housing crisis.
The Young Greens are calling for a deep debate on tax reform to prevent the gap between rich and poor in the country from widening.
European Deputy Tilly Metz meanwhile said that since the beginning of the war, the EU has become more united than ever, but it is facing huge challenges. Mistakes are being mercilessly exposed, while the expansion of renewable energy is taking too long. There is no time to lose now.
