Around 3.30 a.m. on Sunday, a dispute between a man and a woman escalated and lead to a physical altercation in Esch-sur-Alzette. One person was seriously injured with a glass bottle and in need of hospital treatment. The presumed attacker was brought in front of an examining magistrate on Monday morning.
In Schifflange, a brawl erupted between a group of men on Sunday evening. Two people suffered minor injuries in the process. One man was arrested by order of the prosecutor's office and will face an examining magistrate on Monday.
The police further reports that a number of bicycle thefts took place in Schifflange last week. With the aid of local residents, authorities were able to identify the presumed thieves and locate the bikes. A complaint was filed against the presumed culprits. However, the owners of the stolen goods have not yet come forward.
