Through the management of the National Lottery, the ‘Œuvre’ supports philanthropic organisations and projects in Luxembourg. The public institution is under the supervision of the Ministry of State.
The President of the administrative council, Pierre Bley, will step down and is to be succeeded by Danièle Wagener, who up until now served as vice president. The former Marshal of the Court announced that he would resign on Thursday, despite the fact that he could have led the administrative council until 2024. Bley will also step down as a member of the administrative council.
Danièle Wagener will thus succeed Bley and finish his mandate.
Andrée Billon, honorary director of the Supervisory Commission of the Financial Sector (CSSF), is set to become new vice president. Grand Duke Henri has already signed the corresponding nomination.
Following the resignation of Pierre Bley, 14 people remain as members of the administrative council of the ‘Œuvre’. Carole Thelen serves as the institution’s general secretary and Emile Lutgen as its director.
Through the National Lottery, the ‘Œuvre’ has annual revenues of €120 million and an annual income of over €20 million.
