Attempted burglary and dog attackPolice issue two calls for witnesses

RTL Today
The police are looking for witnesses in two cases.

The first call for witnesses was issued regarding an attempted burglary which took place in Wiltz last weekend. Sometime between Friday evening and Monday morning, unknown individuals broke open a garden gate in Rue des Sports. The culprits smashed a number of windows and doors of a building. Potential witnesses are asked to contact the Ardennes police department either by calling (+352) 244 89 1000 or by writing an e-mail to police.ardennes@police.etat.lu

On Wednesday 24 March, between 10 and 11am, a woman was walking across Place de la Résistance in Esch-sur-Alzette, when she came across an older woman walking her dog, according to the police bulletin. The police did not specify whether the animal was on a leash.

The dog attacked and bit the passer-by in the leg. Despite the attack, the dog's owner, who is estimated to be in her forties, did not worry about the victim and walked away.

The police say that the dog is medium-sized (shoulder height of about 50-55 cm), of unknown breed, and light brown in colour. The owner is described as small, corpulent, and with black hair.

In this context, the police are asking the owner of the dog or other witnesses to contact the Esch police station either by calling (+352) 244 50 1000 or by sending an e-mail to police.esch@police.etat.lu.
