Users merely have to download the GouvCheck app and scan the QR code printed on the document.

The app then confirms whether or not the document is authentic and was issued by an official administrative body.

Several other official documents will also have a QR code printed on them, including residence certificates, road-building permits, fishing licenses, and residence certificates.
