A lot of patience was required for motorists on the A1 today, with tailbacks in both directions stretching from Croix de Gasperich to Cents tunnel.
The roadworks in the capital itself make it even harder to bypass the traffic congestion on the A1.
The reason for the works on the A1 is the cutting of hedges in between the lanes.
