Six cars were involved in an accident at around 6am on Friday morning on the N7 between Hoscheid and Hoscheid-Dickt. According to reports from the scene, three of the vehicles were only lightly damaged and were able to continue shortly after the incident.
One person, however, was trapped inside their car and had to be cut free by emergency services. They were seriously injured.
Traffic disruption was largely contained, as it was possible to quickly set up a diversion at the scene, with vehicles rerouted via nearby field roads around the N7.
