The National Scout and Guide Federation of Luxembourg (FNEL) organised a week-long Scoutcamp in Mersch. Every four years, children aged 8 to 11 can participate in the camp. The young participants enthusiastically joined a challenge spanning the five continents to complete the world compass.
300 children and 100 staff members took part. The preparations for the camp can take up to a year, encompassing tasks such as preparing the story behind the adventure, dividing roles, and organising costumes.
The children are immersed in the storyline, following a common thread and engaging with characters that accompany them throughout the camp duration.
This year's adventure followed the story of the world compass, stolen by thieves and broken up into pieces, scattered across the five continents. The children had to follow clues and complete tasks in order to reassemble the compass and complete the adventure.
