Bad news for motorists filling up with SP98 in Luxembourg: fuel prices will rise from Wednesday, according to new maximum prices published by the Ministry of the Economy.
Following a sharp drop in fuel prices last week – diesel fell by nearly 10 cents, while SP95 and SP98 dropped by almost 5 cents – motorists will once again face an increase.
This time, the increase only affects SP98, which will climb by 3.6 cents per litre from Wednesday, reaching €1.92 per litre. A 50-litre fill-up will thus come closer to the symbolic €100 mark, now costing €96. There is no change for SP95, which remains at €1.789 per litre, or for diesel at €1.837 per litre.
The new prices will take effect overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday.
