
The two thieves had broken into a home in Eich and were caught in the act on the balcony. They had accessed the building via a ground-floor window. The police describe both men as being around the age of 30, light-skinned, and wearing dark clothes.
One of the men is 1.55 metres tall and of a slight stature, whereas his accomplice is taller at 1.70 metres and broad-shouldered.
A similar incident was reported at around 11 am on Rue Louis XIV in Merl. The homeowner was still in bed, when suddenly a burglar was standing next to him, looking around with a torch. It is thought that the intruder had forced his way through the apartment door.
According to the police, another apartment at the same address had been broken into in a search for valuables.
Other thieves broke into a house on Route d'Esch in Belvaux betwen 10.30 am and 11.45 am, getting way with valuables.
Finally, thieves also burgled a home on Rue de Luxembourg in Heisdorf over the weekend.
