Three drink-drivers had to hand over their driving licences. Meanwhile, one person was hit by a car in Differdange.

Shortly after 9.30am on Wednesday morning, a person was injured after being hit by a car in rue Woivre in Differdange. The first responder (Samu) and the emergency services from Sanem and Differdange were on site.

In Stadtbredimus, a driver crashed into a parked car shortly after 6pm on Tuesday. The motorist got out of their car and escaped on foot. Later in the evening, police were able to locate the driver. It quickly transpired that the motorist was already wanted by the police because they had not handed in their driving licence despite having lost all 12 points. The driver was fined, and the police confiscated their driving licence.

In Hosingen, police received reports about a lorry driving around recklessly. After being pulled over, the driver turned out to be inebriated while the lorry’s last roadworthiness inspection check had expired a long time ago. The police confiscated the driving licence on the spot.

The police had to deal with another drink-driver in the capital’s Gare neighbourhood. Initially, the officers pulled the motorist over for a driving error, but as the breathalyser test came back positive, they ended up confiscated the driving licence.
