On Monday evening, a car came off the road between Lasauvage and Niederkorn and ended up on its roof. When emergency services arrived at the scene, the driver remained uncooperative despite having suffered minor injuries. Police officers had to calm the man down.
As it turned out, the driver was already involved in another accident on the A13 motorway that very same evening. He fled the scene after causing material damage, and later refused to take an alcohol test when confronted by the officers. The police thus revoked his licence and awarded a driving ban.
Shortly after 11pm, another hit-and-run took place in Wiltz. The driver responsible for the material damage was identified soon after. Since his alcohol test came back positive, he also lost his licence.
